Obviously everyone is prepared to start changing diapers when they have a baby. These are some items that you may not have considered when thinking about this new hourly task you get to do as a parent. I was not prepared for all of the middle of the night changes….

Even if you buy a dresser with a build in changing pad you will likely need one of these as well. Getting a changing pad that you can easily wipe clean and move around your house is a must. This thing will see things you never imagined having to clean up with your bare hands. Plus, as your newborn gets older – you will likely need to start changing them on the floor since they want to roll off of the changing table so this provides that flexibility and makes clean up easy.
We do not have this diaper bag but I wish we did. We have the Dagne Dover diaper bag which is just a blackbox. If I could go back in time I would get this one and give it a shot. Dagne Dover one is ok, some people have reported a weird smell.
This mini diaper bag is the best. So easy to throw over your shoulder when making a quick trip to the store to just bring the diaper changing essentials in case of emergency. Much easier than lugging around the massive diaper bag. Plus, as your baby gets older you will start bringing less and less things out with you, so this can essentially become your primary diaper bag.
These are the Cadillac of diapers. They are made with the cleanest ingredients and extremely absorbent. Every morning our baby wakes up with a 5 pound diaper and none of it has seemed out because these things work so well. Definitely on the pricier side, but if you subscribe they get delivered to your doorstep which is one less thing to worry about. Worth the money.
Everyone says you do not need this, but in the early days when your new born wakes up screaming in the middle of the night you will be glad you got this. Imagine being your baby, waking up at 2AM with a dirty diaper, and getting ice cold wipes rubbed against you?! Even if you only use it at night for the first few weeks – it is worth it to not put your baby through that agony.
Your generic diaper caddy. We keep this thing stocked at all times with our diaper changing essentials. Like I said in a previous post, since our baby wants to roll off of the changing table we find ourselves changing him anywhere we can so this is a must. You can splurge and get a more decorative one, but this one definitely does the trick and is very popular on social media.
