All Things Baby Gear

These are our recommendations for all of the bigger items you’ll need to succeed in your first year of parenting.  A lot of them are luxuries or different flavors of each other, but all great products that we highly recommend, use frequently, and believe are worth the price tag.

Nuna PIPA RX Infant Car Seat & Base

We go the Nuna PIPA Lite RX which seems to be discontinued at this point.  We went with the Nuna car seat because of how much lighter it is than the UPPAbaby.  This car seat will work with the UPPAbaby stroller, but you will need to purchase a separate adapter for the stroller.  You can still fold the stroller down for storage with the adapter attached.

Every millennial parent has this stroller – just get it.

This carrier was great when going for a walk or trying to get some things done around the house.  If your baby is being fussy and won’t fall asleep, you can clip a sound machine on one side and a pacifier on the other.

This was one of the greatest purchases we made.  Whenever our newborn was crying, whether at home or at a restaurant, the minute we got him in this he was at ease.  We recommend it to everyone.

Good, large play mat with bumpers to keep baby from rolling off.

This seat is great when your baby is starting to get strong enough to hold themselves up.  It is definitely frowned upon to put your baby in it on your counter, but you can pop it anywhere throughout your house and let your baby sit and watch you with a smile on their face.

This is a must.  Best place to put your baby down for a few so you can make food or go to the bathroom.  It is light and easy to bring around the house with you.  The mesh one is breathable and doesn’t hold on to food as much as the other fabrics.  Easily pops into the washing machine too.

Need this to clip onto your stroller while you go on your mental health walks to keep baby cool.  You can also clip it to their crib if its warm in their room.  Charge lasts a pretty long time too.

Need to be able to see your baby while you’re on the go.  Honestly, those back seat cameras may be better and worth the investment.

This Pack n’ Play is great for travel and is very easy to pop up and down.  There is a bassinet attachment along with a mattress for bigger kids.  I would recommend buying a separate mattress since the one that comes with it is paper thin.

This is a fun transition from a stroller once your baby is old enough.  They love looking out and sitting up so it is definitely worth it.  It is also so much easier to push around and travel with than a stroller.  It is definitely not simple to fold up and pop back up – took a couple YouTube tutorials to master.

This is an awesome jogger stroller.  I highly recommend running to maintain your sanity, but if you are not a runner and do not plan on running frequently with your babies then you do not need this expensive stroller.  Running with a stroller is SO HARD.

I am not sure why this is so expensive, but you will need it if you plan to bring your baby outside in the winter time.  Keeps them warm and snuggled up even if it is freezing outside.

These things are the best for mom and dad.  They are mittens that connect to the stroller that allows you to quickly pop your hands in and out.  10 out of 10.
